Here we have the front and the back of a 1970's tube. I was
not born when this tube was made, but the person who sold it to me says it is
from around 1973. |

Here is the lid. Note that the letter on the under side is a
bold CAPITAL 'M'. This is a new metric sized lid, but this is difficult to spot even when the old
and the new lids are placed side by side. The test is to try and fit an imperial lid into a metric tube (it won't)
and vice versa (metric lids fit very loosely into imperial tubes). |
